1. Kevin Zavian — Along with Ken Jennings, John Roderick and Michael McKean, Kevin is at the top of my “people I would like to have dinner with” list. Just an all-time mensch for me. Everything about his way. So gentle, so invested, so smart. I feel like he is just presenting to me when he talks. I trust what he says. Then he breaks out the leather vest and … chef’s kiss.
2. Nicholas D. Lowry — Mustache game is so strong, but then the suits. I mean, come on with this. You know he has it on lock from the presentation but then he talks and it gets more locked? Perfect.
3. Lark E. Mason — Lark (I would call him Mr. Mason) has so much gravitas but so much patience. And his understated style. His focus being Asian Arts because it is the only thing it can be.
4. Laura Woolley — So fun. I know it will be a fun segment when I see Laura. She has shown great breadth of knowledge over the years.
5. Simeon Lipman — Watch this for what you need to know about Simeon Lipman. The nice older lady steals the show but I like Simeon’s reactions just as much. I love expressive faces!
6. Leila Dunbar — I always have high expectations when Leila comes on the screen and she always meets them, even if they aren’t baseball card collections worth $1 million. She makes it all interesting because she knows the history so well.
7. Ken Farmer — Would be at the top of the chill list below but he gets on this list regardless because a) Virginia represent, and b) he cares and it comes across. People could watch Ken to see how to act around other people. Affable, funny, all that stuff.
8. Rafael Eledge — Rafael, who hasn’t been on in some years, still makes the list because his accent rules and he seems like the kind of guy that would be great to talk to for hours. Obviously an insane amount of knowledge about war-making implements but he makes those interesting even for a peaceful dude.
9. Allan Katz — Allan isn’t on the 2026 roster but I think I have seen him recently. Possibly the nicest guy on the show? He has had so many interactions on the show where I was struck by his kindness towards the guest.
10. Travis Landry — The new guy(?) and I guess one could say he sneaks into the top 10 because he is mainly reviewing items from my own childhood. But he treats those items with the right mix of nostalgia, reverence and irreverence. There is something different about presenting a fine work of art, a baseball and Firestorm #1. But he always strikes the right balance and brings the excitement.
